China State Shipbuilding Corporation Seventh Research Institute

SMDERI, founded in 1963 and affiliated to China State Shipbuilding Corporation, is a state-level research institute for marine diesel engines. It is the main institution supported by the National Key Laboratory for Advanced Marine Engine Technology and a supporting institution of the China Internal Combustion Engine Society. It has established a powerful national research base for ship power development.
